Tara Collington

Tara Collington is a Professor and Department Chair at the University of Waterloo since 2001. Her academic work bridges French literature, Bakhtin studies, and interdisciplinary approaches to time-space representation (chronotope). She has co-authored works on English-French adaptations and Shakespeare, reflecting her dual interest in both languages.

Recent publications analyze photography in Colette Fellous’s autobiographical works, historical representation in French literature, and interdisciplinary applications of the chronotope. Her co-supervised doctoral theses explore themes like postcolonial migrant narratives, melancholy in contemporary literature, and dialogic approaches to Michel Houellebecq.
