Tapani Rinta-Kahila

Dr. Tapani Rinta-Kahila is a Senior Lecturer of Business Information Systems and ARC DECRA Fellow at The University of Queensland Business School. He holds a PhD from Aalto University School of Business, where his award-winning dissertation focused on organizational information system decommissioning. His research examines AI implementation challenges, unintended technology consequences, and information systems replacement. He has published in top journals like MIS Quarterly and European Journal of Information Systems, and his work on Australia's Robodebt scandal won prestigious awards including the Stafford Beer Medal. He serves as Associate Editor for leading IS conferences and Minitrack Chair for HICSS.
