Tao Xie is a Chair Professor at the School of Computer Science, Peking University, and serves as Vice Director of the Key Lab of High Confidence Software Technologies under the Ministry of Education, China. Previously, he held tenured positions at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and North Carolina State University, advancing from Assistant to Full Professor.
His research focuses on software analytics, software security, system software, trustworthy AI, and intelligent software engineering, aiming to enhance software quality and reliability. He has contributed to foundational work in software testing and mining software repositories.
