Tanveer Choudhury is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechatronics at Federation University Australia’s Institute of Innovation, Science and Sustainability (IISS), Gippsland Campus. He holds a PhD in Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology (2013) and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Islamic University of Technology, Bangladesh (2007). Prior to academia, he worked as an RF engineer at Ericsson on large-scale telecommunication projects in Bangladesh, Kenya, Benin, and Ivory Coast.
His research focuses on mechatronics, machine learning, predictive control systems, and artificial intelligence applications. Key areas include numerical modeling of atmospheric plasma spray processes, optimizing particle characteristics via neural networks, and developing smart manufacturing solutions. He is actively involved in curriculum development for the new mechatronic systems engineering program at Federation University.
Publications highlight interdisciplinary work in thermal spray technology, environmental engineering, and biomedical applications. His research bridges theoretical models with practical engineering challenges, emphasizing predictive analytics and process automation.
Teaching areas cover mechatronics and electronic engineering, with a focus on integrating cutting-edge technologies into academic programs. He collaborates widely, evidenced by co-authored works with institutions in Australia, Bangladesh, and elsewhere.
