Dr. Tansy Spinks is a Senior Lecturer in Printmaking/Photography at Middlesex University's School of Arts within the Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries. She teaches part-time (0.6 FTE) across BA Fine Art and MA programs, having previously served as Programme Leader for MA Fine Art (2016-2022). Her academic background includes extensive experience at Middlesex University since 1986.
Her research explores interdisciplinary intersections of sound, performance, and visual media. Key interests include live improvisation strategies, site-specific sound art, graphic notation systems, collaborative film sound, and materiality in artistic practice.
