Tanja Schneider

Tanja Schneider is Professor of Pharmaceutical Microbiology at the University of Bonn, researching bacterial cell envelopes as antibiotic targets. Her work identifies novel antibacterial compounds and resistance mechanisms.

Established an antibiotic screening platform through the German Center for Infection Research. Research focuses on molecular interactions of antibiotics with cell wall biosynthesis pathways and bacterial physiology.
