About
Dr. Tanja Kapp is an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Tübingen's English Department since 2023. She holds a PhD in English Literature from the University of Freiburg (2023) and was a Research Fellow at the Graduate Research Group “New Travel – New Media” (2018–2022). Her research focuses on kinship, medical humanities, spatial mobilities, media cultures, environmental humanities, and postcolonial literatures. Current projects include a Habilitation on 'Kinships' and a workshop on 'Ephemerality.'
Research Interests:
- Medical humanities (care, bodily vulnerabilities)
- Embodied mobilities and spatial borders
- Graphic narratives and intermediality
- Ephemerality in zines/digital media
- Environmental humanities and posthumanism
- Irish/Northern Irish postcolonial literatures
She teaches at the University of Tübingen and previously at the University of Freiburg. Her work bridges literary studies and interdisciplinary fields like global south studies and affective ecologies. Office hours are Tuesdays 11:00–12:00 during the semester (registration required).
