Tanja Dall

Tanja Dall is an Associate Professor of Social Work at Aalborg University's Department of Sociology and Social Work, within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She leads the WISER research group focusing on welfare innovation, social work practices, and employment relations.

Education: PhD in Sociology and Social Work from Aalborg University (2018).

Research Interests: Work inclusion mechanisms, professional practices in social work and public employment services, knowledge mobilization strategies, and post-anthropocentric social work theory. Methodologically, she employs conversation analysis, ethnography, and qualitative approaches prioritizing practical implementation. Key themes include workplace diversity, disability employment, street-level bureaucracy, and organizational change.

Recent Work Trends: Recent publications address motivational dynamics in job center interactions, workplace accommodations for people with disabilities, and sustainable knowledge brokering systems. Her work frequently bridges theory/practice divides through collaborative projects with municipalities and employers.

Advising & Grants: Coordinates multiple research grants including CUBB 2.0 (2024-ongoing) and leads projects on labor market inclusion capacity-building. Supervises bachelor/master/PhD students across disciplines.

Labs/Teams: Heads WISER - Welfare, Innovation, Social Work and Employment Relations research group conducting transdisciplinary studies on social work practices and employment policies.
