Tan Nhat Tran is a Robert Riley Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Binghamton University, SUNY. His research focuses on Algebraic Combinatorics and Hyperplane Arrangements, under the mentorship of Prof. Thomas Zaslavsky. Previously, he held postdoctoral positions at Leibniz Universität Hannover (with Prof. Michael Cuntz) and Ruhr-Universität Bochum (as a Humboldt Postdoc under Prof. Gerhard Röhrle). He earned his Ph.D. from Hokkaido University (Japan) in 2020, followed by a JSPS postdoc under Prof. Masahiko Yoshinaga. He also holds an M.Sc. from Hokkaido University under Prof. Hiroaki Terao.
