Tamara Sysak is a Lecturer in Social Work and Human Services at the School of Law and Society, University of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. With over 20 years of interdisciplinary experience across academic, government, corporate, and not-for-profit sectors, her work integrates community development, environment, and policy. She holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne (2013), MSW from UniSC, and degrees in Environmental Management and Administration.
Her research focuses on healthy ageing, dementia care, green social work, and climate change adaptation, particularly supporting older adults, people with dementia, and their carers. She teaches courses in health and mental health social work, including SWK785 and SWK202.
