Talha Evran is a Researcher at the University of Cologne, currently pursuing a doctorate in civil law at the Chair of Civil Law, Law of the Data Economy, Data Protection, and Artificial Intelligence. He previously worked as a research assistant under Prof. Dr. Dr. hc Dauner-Lieb at the Chair of Civil Law, Commercial and Corporate Law, Labor Law, and European Private Law Development. Evran serves as editor-in-chief of the journal Artificial Intelligence and Law, published by CHBeck. He holds an LL.B. from the binational German-Turkish legal program at the University of Cologne and Istanbul Altınbaş University, completing his studies in 2020. He passed the first compulsory state examination in corporate law in 2023.
Teaching activities include leading Property Law working groups at the University of Cologne, with sessions scheduled across multiple semesters. His research focuses on intersections of corporate law, data economy regulations, AI, and property law, reflecting his involvement in legal technology and European private law development.
