Taiwo Raphael Tejumola

Dr. Taiwo Raphael Tejumola is a Lecturer in the Department of Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at the University of Southampton. Previously, he served as Assistant Professor and head of the Space Payload Laboratory at the International Space University in France for over five years.

• Education: B.Eng in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria; MSc and Ph.D. in Space Systems Engineering from Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan.

His research focuses on plasma instrumentation for small satellites, including their practical applications in space missions. Key areas include plasma diagnostics, microsatellite payload design, and cost-effective space systems. His work spans hardware development and data processing algorithms for satellite-based plasma measurements.

Recent publications highlight advancements in in-situ plasma diagnostics using microsatellites, onboard data processing for Langmuir probes, and low-cost plasma measurement systems. These works emphasize miniaturized instrumentation and orbital mission efficiency.
