Taavi Tampuu

Taavi Tampuu, Senior Lecturer in Voice at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre since 2009, is a distinguished baritone and pedagogue. He also teaches at Heino Eller Tartu Music School since 2012, mentoring notable students including Rasmus Kull and Reigo Tamm.

A specialist in classical repertoire, Tampuu has performed major roles in Estonian theaters including Vanemuine and Estonia Theatre. His performance history spans iconic works by Bach, Handel, Schubert, and Verdi.

Award recognition includes:

• Special prize at Tiit Kuusik Memorial Competition (2000)
• 1st place at Hendrik Krumm Singers' Competition (2005)

Active chamber musician collaborating with accompanist Kadri-Ann Sumera, with particular focus on Estonian composers' song works and Schubert's vocal cycles.
