Sören D. Baumgärtner

Dr. Sören D. Baumgärtner is a Researcher in the Sports Psychology Department at Goethe University Frankfurt's Institute of Sports Science. His work spans performance diagnostics, coaching, motor learning, and health promotion in sports contexts.

• Education: Magister Artium (2001) in Sports Science, Sports Medicine, and Pedagogy from Goethe University Frankfurt; Doctorate (2010) on athlete behavior in critical competition situations at TU Darmstadt.

His research focuses on (1) performance diagnostics and coaching in elite sports and business, including mobile psychological screening tools; (2) instructional psychology of motor learning through problem-solving strategies; (3) cognitive self-concept impacts on handling sports failures; and (4) eLearning applications for athlete support. He also contributes to health promotion via psychological aspects in fitness programs.

Notable achievements include:

• Module coordination for Master's internships (MSc-12 and MA-9 programs)
