Szymon Morus is a Polish conductor and academic teacher associated with the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk since October 2013, where he holds the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Conducting, Composition and Music Theory. He earned his doctorate in musical arts in conducting at his alma mater. Morus is also the founder and artistic director of the Progress Chamber Orchestra (active since 2009) and has conducted at prestigious venues including the National Philharmonic and the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk.
