Symeon Dagkas

Professor Symeon Dagkas serves as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chichester since November 2024, responsible for the university's strategic direction and academic excellence. Previously, he was Provost and Chief Academic Officer at St Mary's University, overseeing academic activities, recruitment, admissions, and international affairs.

His educational background includes a PhD from the University of Exeter.

Professor Dagkas is an active researcher with extensive publications focusing on sport, inclusion, exercise, and health. His work spans interdisciplinary areas including sports science, social inclusion, exercise physiology, and public health, contributing to both academic knowledge and practical applications in these fields.

He holds significant leadership roles within the university, chairing the Academic Board and Honorary Awards Committee, and serving as a member of the Board of Governors.
