Sybil Smith-Gray is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at George Mason University. Her research and practice focus on forensic evaluation and intervention services for court-involved juveniles and asylum-seeking immigrants. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with over two decades of forensic expertise, qualified as an expert witness in multiple jurisdictions in the Washington DC area.
Dr. Gray emphasizes the importance of human-centered forensic reporting to ensure families remain intact during legal proceedings. She is proud to continue the legacy of her grandniece, Dr. Inez Beverly Prosser, recognized by the APA as the first African American female psychologist. As an educator and mentor, she fosters academic excellence across diverse student populations.
