Dr. Svitlana Telukha is a Lecturer at the National Technical University 'Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute' in the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Culturology and History of Science, and an associated researcher at the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) in Leipzig, Germany since May 2023. She holds a PhD in History, Archival Sciences, and Social Sciences from V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (2011).
Her research specializes in oral history methodologies applied to traumatic historical events, with current focus areas including:
- Holocaust memorialization in wartime Ukraine
- Digital documentation of memory sites
- Impact of armed conflict on collective memory
- Educational technology for historical preservation
- Multimedia approaches to social history
She has received the Philipp Schwartz Initiative Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Her organizational affiliations include the Center for Interethnic Relations Research in Eastern Europe and CS Kharkiv Young, where she contributes to urban memory preservation initiatives.
