About
Sven Ebel is a Ph.D. Research Fellow at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), affiliated with the Department of Physics under the Faculty of Science. Since September 2023, he has been conducting research at POLIMA (Center for Polaritonics and Nanophotonics) under the supervision of Professors N. Asger Mortensen and Sergii Morozov. He holds a master's degree in physics from Kiel University in Germany.
Research Interests:
- Cathodoluminescence experiments for quantum emitter characterization
- Photoluminescence analysis of nanophotonic materials
- Structured optical fields for electron wave control
- Metasurface engineering with slot antenna configurations
- Quantum light-matter interactions at nanoscale
- Free-electron quantum optics applications
Scientific Contributions: Sven's work focuses on photonic and plasmonic materials, with recent publications exploring optical metasurface design (2023), structured light-electron interactions (2023), and advanced cathodoluminescence methodologies (2025). His research bridges quantum optics with nanophotonic device engineering.
