Suzanne Erb is an Associate Professor and Chair in the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC). Her research focuses on the neurobiology of substance abuse and addiction vulnerability, with a particular emphasis on the relationship between stress and drug-seeking behaviors.
Dr. Erb employs a multidisciplinary approach spanning molecular biology, neurochemistry, pharmacology, and behavioral studies. Her work includes rodent models to investigate how early life adversity, chronic stress, and impulsivity influence reward processing and substance use. She also explores the impact of maternal experience on psychostimulant sensitivity in adulthood.
