Suzana Matoh

Dr. Suzana Matoh is a Lecturer in Business and Sustainability and Programme Leader for the MSc Management and Sustainability at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School. She holds a PhD in Business and Sustainability from the University of Leeds. Her research focuses on sustainable business models, organizational transformation, and resource-efficient strategies, with notable presentations at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting and ETH Academy on Sustainability and Technology.

Education: PhD in Business and Sustainability (University of Leeds, 2020), postdoctoral research roles at University of Leeds (2016-2021). Teaching expertise includes sustainability-focused units such as Global Online Critical Perspectives in Entrepreneurship and Circular Economy. Recognized via Educate North Awards 2024 and Manchester Met’s Staff Awards 2023 nominations.

Research interests center on sustainability transitions, biodiversity policies, and multi-stakeholder engagement. Current projects include the GeneSES grant (2024/25) exploring Biodiversity Net Gain policy impacts. Supervises MSc dissertations and PhD candidates while maintaining roles as Personal Tutor and Educational Outreach Fellow.
