Susu Xu

Susu Xu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Stony Brook University. Her work integrates crowdsensing systems, machine learning, and incentive mechanisms to address challenges in urban dynamics and smart infrastructure systems.

Research Interests:

• Mobile sensing and crowdsensing systems for urban environments
• Collaborative and physics-informed machine learning algorithms
• Incentive design for resilient urban infrastructure
• Spatio-temporal data mining in air pollution, traffic, and noise monitoring

Applications include large-scale infrastructure monitoring (buildings, bridges, railway tracks) and self-adaptive smart city frameworks.
