Susanne Wetzel

Dr. Susanne Wetzel is Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Stevens Institute of Technology. She researches cryptography, algorithmic number theory, wireless security, privacy, and secure multi-party computation with applications in bartering, electronic voting, and auctions.

Research Focus: Develops practical cryptographic solutions for wireless networks, privacy preservation, and biometric security while advancing lattice basis reduction algorithms.

Educational Leadership: Established Stevens' cybersecurity undergraduate program and Cybercorps® Scholarship for Service initiative, supported by NSF/DHS/DoD funding.

Patents: Holds multiple patents in Bluetooth security, cryptographic key generation, and distributed computation security.
