Susanne Crewell

Professor Susanne Crewell is a leading researcher in atmospheric science at the University of Cologne's Institute for Geophysics and Meteorology. She leads the Atmospheric Water Cycle and Remote Sensing (AWARES) research group, focusing on advanced remote sensing techniques to study atmospheric processes with particular emphasis on the Arctic climate system.

Her research spans multiple areas including atmospheric water cycle dynamics, microwave radiative transfer, sensor synergy at ground-based atmospheric observatories, and the integration of observational data with atmospheric models.
