Susan W. Wesmiller

Dr. Susan W. Wesmiller is an Associate Professor and Department Chair at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, specializing in Health Promotion & Development. With over forty years of experience in nursing education, her research focuses on symptom science in women undergoing breast cancer treatment, funded by the National Institute of Nursing Research (NIH) and the Oncology Nursing Foundation. She teaches genetics courses, mentors undergraduate and doctoral students, and serves as guest faculty at the University of Basel.

Her research interests center on understanding symptom trajectories in oncology patients, particularly those receiving breast cancer treatment, integrating genomic insights into nursing care.
