Susan Verba

Susan Verba is Professor of Design at UC Davis and Founding Director of the Center for Design in the Public Interest (DiPi). With an MFA in Graphic Design from Yale University and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford, she bridges technical and creative disciplines.

Her teaching focuses on fundamental design principles including DES115: Letterforms and Typography, where students explore information hierarchy through typographic composition. Verba's career emphasizes the integration of form and content in visual communication.
