Susan Stone

Susan Stone is a Professor of English at Loras College. She holds a PhD from the University of South Carolina (2001), an MA from the same institution (1997), and a BA from Emory University (1991). Dr. Stone specializes in 19th-century American literature, gender studies, Native American and African American studies, and writing. Her research focuses on Transcendentalism legacies and writers like Margaret Fuller and Mary Wilkins Freeman, alongside studies of early Native American Catholic priests and nuns.
