Susan Stillman

Susan Stillman is an Affiliate Faculty member at Antioch University, specializing in Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and educational leadership. She has held faculty appointments at Southern Connecticut State University, Northern Arizona University, Northcentral University, and Fielding Graduate University.

Dr. Stillman has pioneered SEL in education since the 1990s, serving as Chair of the SEL Special Interest Group at the American Educational Research Association. She was the first Director of Education for Six Seconds Emotional Intelligence Network, developing global SEL strategies and curriculum.

Susan's current work focuses on integrating SEL into doctoral programs, mentoring Antioch Ed.D. students, and advancing emotional intelligence through Six Seconds' youth assessments. She resides in Tucson and New York with her husband Paul and therapy dog Tasha.
