Susan Lynch

Susan Lynch is a Clinical Professor and Associate Director of Undergraduate Programs in the School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, part of the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS). Her roles include overseeing the upper division prelicensure and RN to BSN curricula. She has been in nursing education since 1997, with clinical experience in burn/trauma care, intensive care, mental health, and hospice/palliative care.

Education includes a PhD (2015, University of New Mexico), MSN (1997, University of New Mexico), and BSN (1989, University of North Carolina). Her research focuses on family caregiving, burnout, hospice/palliative care, and higher education, with projects addressing student success and pain management. She mentors faculty, doctoral, and undergraduate students in these areas.

Lynch is affiliated with the North Carolina Nurses Association, South Piedmont Area Health Education Center, and serves as a Peer Reviewer for Quality Matters (QM). Professional involvement includes advisory roles and collaborative research.
