Susan Lin serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law while maintaining an active legal practice as a partner at Kairys, Rudovsky, Messing, Feinberg & Lin in Philadelphia. She specializes in criminal defense and civil rights litigation, with extensive experience winning jury trials in state and federal courts, handling federal appeals, and litigating section 2255/2254 petitions.
Her academic background includes a J.D. from Yale Law School (2004) and a B.A. from Swarthmore College (2000), where she received high honors. Professional experience encompasses clerking for Judge Anita B. Brody of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, followed by roles as Assistant Defender at the Defender Association of Philadelphia and Assistant Federal Defender in the Federal Community Defender Office.
Fluent in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, Ms. Lin holds leadership positions on the Board of APABA-PA, the ACLU Philadelphia Legal Committee, and actively participates in the Philadelphia Bar Association's Criminal Justice Committee and Philadelphia Criminal Law Inn of Court. Her work bridges academic instruction with practical legal advocacy in constitutional rights and criminal justice reform.
