Susan L. Mayhew is the Provost, Dean, and Chief Academic Officer at Appalachian College of Pharmacy (ACP), where she serves as a founding administrator, educator, and leader in pharmacy practice. She has played a pivotal role in securing ACP's accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

Dr. Mayhew specializes in nutrition support, electrolyte and fluid disorders, and acid/base disorders. Her career spans over two decades in pharmacy education, clinical practice, and program development, including leadership in expanding Georgia's largest pharmacy residency program at Columbus Regional Healthcare System. She has held faculty and preceptor appointments at the University of Georgia, Mercer University, and Auburn University Schools of Pharmacy.
She has been recognized through her certifications and professional accolades, including FASHP and BCNSP designations. Dr. Mayhew has presented nationally on pharmacy and nutrition topics and served on the Southwest Virginia Health Authority Board.
