Susan Kennedy

Susan Kennedy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Santa Clara University's College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. from Boston University (2020) and a certificate from Yale’s Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics (2018). Previously, she served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Harvard University's Embedded EthiCS program, focusing on integrating ethical reasoning into computer science education.

Her research emphasizes the ethical, social, and political implications of emerging technologies, with special focus on artificial wombs, reproductive technologies, and AI applications in healthcare. She recently presented Privacy: A Surmountable Challenge for Computer Vision at the 2023 Embedded Vision Summit.

Her academic work bridges philosophy and technology, advocating for interdisciplinary approaches to address societal challenges posed by new innovations.
