Susan Jones

Susan Jones is a Professor in the Department of Ecology, Evolution and Behavior at the University of Minnesota, affiliated with the College of Biological Sciences and the Program in History of Science, Technology and Medicine within the College of Science and Engineering. She is a historian specializing in modern biomedical and life sciences.

Her research focuses on the historical ecology of disease, particularly zoonotic diseases, and she has received prestigious Guggenheim and Fulbright Fellowships for her work. She teaches courses on the history of ecology, environmentalism, global environmental history, biology, and the historical ecology of disease.
