About
Dr. Susan John is a Senior Lecturer in the Peter Gorer Department of Immunobiology at King's College London. Her research focuses on cytokine signaling pathways, particularly the JAK-STAT pathway, and its implications in immune regulation, T-cell biology, and autoimmune disorders.
Her investigations span molecular mechanisms of cytokine actions, dysregulation in immunodeficiencies, and therapeutic interventions for conditions like vasculitis and lymphoma. Dr. John maintains active collaborations with Prof. Giovanna Lombardi and Prof. Robert Lechler on regulatory T-cell differentiation.
Dr. John's scientific contributions include the DHPA award (2001) jointly sponsored by MRC and GSK. Her recent publications demonstrate a consistent focus on immunotherapeutic approaches, cytokine signaling networks, and translational immunology across autoimmune, infectious, and oncological contexts.
