Susan Imberman is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the College of Staten Island (CSI), where she has taught since 1986. She is renowned for integrating low-cost intelligent robots into the curriculum, starting from introductory courses. Her teaching emphasizes hands-on learning in Artificial Intelligence, where students design robots capable of learning. She advises the CSI Computer Science Club and fosters student involvement in extracurricular activities like robot soccer and the Trenton Computer Fair.
Dr. Imberman holds a BA from Queens College, and MS, M.Phil., and Ph.D. from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY).
