Susan Gooden, Ph.D., is Dean and Professor at the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is an internationally recognized expert on social equity and an elected fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration.
Education includes: Ph.D. in Political Science (Syracuse), M.A. in Political Science (Syracuse and Virginia Tech), B.A. in English (Virginia Tech), and A.A.S. in Natural Science (Patrick Henry Community College).
Research focuses on social equity, program evaluation, and research methods. Her work has been funded by Russell Sage Foundation, Kellogg Foundation, and others.
