Susan Dupej

Susan Dupej is a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Guelph's School of Hospitality, Food and Tourism Management, part of the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics. Her research examines tourism economics, focusing on rural development, agritourism, cannabis legalization impacts, and social responsibility frameworks for supplier practices. She also teaches Human Geography and Tourism Geography as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Toronto.

Her work emphasizes the cultural and social dimensions of economic activity, balancing profit motives with ethical commitments and sustainability. Current projects analyze tourism as a tool for cannabis normalization and its effects on Canada's destination image.
