Susan Dodd is an Associate Professor of Humanities in the Foundation Year Program and Contemporary Studies department at the University of King's College, serving as a full-time faculty member since 1998. She holds a PhD (York), MA, and BA (Vind). Her research focuses on the History of Western culture, politics of memory, critical theory, and intersections of technology and culture.
Research & Publications: Dodd has authored/co-edited works including Each Book A Drum (2015) and The Ocean Ranger (2012, winner of the inaugural Atlantic Book Award for Scholarly Writing). Upcoming projects include Unity of Opposites: Hegel and Canadian Political Thought (co-edited) and Engineering in Canada: Results, Risks, and Responsibilities (co-authored).
Teaching: She teaches courses like Apocalypse: The Revolutionary Transformation of Politics and Culture in the Contemporary Studies program.
