Susan Cramer

Dr. Susan Cramer joined the Department of Chemistry at Grove City College in Fall 2002 after earning her Ph.D. from the University of Akron. She holds undergraduate and master's degrees in chemistry from Malone University and the University of Toledo, respectively.

Research & Teaching: Dr. Cramer specializes in organic chemistry, teaching both lecture and lab courses. While not actively involved in research, she contributes to academic engagement through instruction in polymer chemistry and foundational chemistry for non-science majors.

Student Engagement: Known for her personal connections with students, Dr. Cramer regularly hosts departmental events including annual fall parties for the American Chemical Society chapter. She emphasizes hands-on learning with advanced instrumentation accessible to undergraduates at Grove City.

Institutional Values: As a faculty advisor for ACS and the chemistry honorary, she integrates her Christian faith openly in the academic environment, which aligns with Grove City College's mission as a Christian institution.
