Sule Tomkinson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Université Laval and Director of the Centre for Public Policy Analysis. She teaches courses on public administration, administrative law, and public policy. Her research focuses on contemporary transformations in administrative justice, including the role of administrative tribunals in democratic states and their quality measurement. She leads projects on non-state actors' contributions to administrative justice innovation. She is affiliated with the Centre for Research in Public Law (CRDP), CRIDAQ, ÉRIQA, and the Profiling Observatory (ODP).
Her work includes analyzing immigration appeal decisions in Quebec and the effectiveness of oversight bodies like the Conseil de la justice administrative (CJA). Recent grants include SSHRC and Fonds de recherche du Québec funding. She co-edits the journal Politique et Sociétés and is writing a book on administrative justice in Canada.
