Sue Skidmore is a Researcher at Keele University within the School of Allied Health Professions and Pharmacy. She is a HCPC-registered podiatrist with a PhD focused on perceptions of foot health, footwear, and social media. Her current research (2023) involves behavior-change tools for smart devices to prevent diabetes-related foot pathologies, including ulceration and amputation. She also contributes to the MARS initiative, a holistic approach to reducing amputation rates.

- Social perceptions of foot health through qualitative and digital methods
- Footwear comfort in children and adults
- Foot self-care behaviors in diabetes

Recent Publications (2021–2023) focus on foot health communication, behavioral interventions, and digital data analysis, with applications in pediatric footwear, diabetes management, and rheumatology.
Teaching includes clinical instruction at the University of Huddersfield and hourly academic roles at the University of Salford. She supervises Pre-registration MSc Podiatry students.
