Sue Outram

Dr. Sue Outram is an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Newcastle's School of Medicine and Public Health, leading the Discipline of Health Behaviour Sciences. She oversees cross-disciplinary teaching programs, manages academic teams, and focuses on mental health, veterans' well-being, and health communication.

• Qualifications: PhD (University of Newcastle), BA (Psychology/Sociology, UNSW), Registered Nurse.

Research Expertise: Her work spans intergenerational PTSD in Vietnam veterans' families, communication skills training in psychiatry, health promotion for vulnerable groups (Indigenous communities, schizophrenia patients/caregivers), and mental health education.
