Subhasis Ghoshal

Subhasis Ghoshal is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at McGill University's Faculty of Engineering and serves as Director of the Trottier Institute for Sustainability in Engineering and Design (TISED). His expertise spans environmental engineering with emphasis on soil and groundwater remediation, nanomaterial fate, and bioremediation in extreme climates.

His educational background includes a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Jadavpur University (1989), M.S. from the University of Missouri-Columbia (1991), and Ph.D. in Civil (Environmental) Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University (1995), followed by postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan (1995-1997).
