Subhanjoy Mohanty is an Associate Professor in Astrophysics at the Department of Physics, Imperial College London, and a Visiting Professor at the School of Earth and Planetary Sciences (SEPS) at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), India. His research focuses on planet formation, protoplanetary discs, star formation, and exobiology through theoretical models, numerical simulations, and multi-wavelength observations.

Research Interests: Combines astrophysical theory with computational methods to study planetary systems evolution, stellar processes, and the origins of life. Active in magneto-hydrodynamical simulations and observational astronomy across ultraviolet to radio wavelengths.
Affiliations: Member of Imperial’s Astrophysics Group, Physics of the Universe, and Space Lab research initiatives. Previously held a NASA Spitzer Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
