Stéphane Dawans

Stéphane Dawans is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Liege (ULg), where he teaches philosophy and humanities & social sciences. His research focuses on heritage conservation, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches that integrate tools from logic, analytical philosophy, and art ontology to address challenges in preserving cultural and built heritage.

He actively contributes to discussions on heritage’s evolving role in society, particularly in late capitalist contexts and conflict zones. His work explores how heritage can be leveraged proactively to foster sustainability and address socio-political tensions, as evidenced by his participation in international academic events hosted by institutions like UQAM and Concordia University.
