Stuart Coulson is a Lecturer in Management at Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) and an Adjunct Professor at Stanford Institute of Design (d.school). He leads the Design for Extreme Affordability program, which empowers multidisciplinary teams to create low-cost solutions for poverty-driven challenges. Since 2017, he has been at GSB, and since 2009 at the d.school.

Research & Service: Focuses on design thinking, social innovation, and affordable solutions for global poverty. Serves on Trinity College Dublin’s Board of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub, Provost’s Council, and Trinity Angels since 2013. Owns Papera Ranch since 2007.
Labs/Teams: Central to the d.school’s Design for Extreme Affordability program and collaborates with GSB to blend business strategy with design innovation.
