Stoyan Denchev

Professor Stoyan Denchev is the Chairman of the Council of Trustees at the University of Library Science and Information Technology (UniBIT) in Bulgaria. With a distinguished career spanning academia, government, and diplomacy, Prof. Denchev holds the academic title of Doctor of Economic Sciences and serves as Director of the Institute of Information and Security at UniBIT.

His research interests focus on the intersection of library science and modern information technologies, particularly in the areas of digital libraries, information security, and e-government implementation. Prof. Denchev has been instrumental in developing programs that connect traditional library sciences with contemporary IT demands, noting that 'computer companies hire our students from the second year.'

Prof. Denchev has published significant work in information security, including his book 'Information and Security,' which addresses critical issues in the digital governance landscape.
