Steven van Terwingen

Steven van Terwingen is a researcher in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at RWTH Aachen University's Faculty of Chemistry. He holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from RWTH Aachen. His research focuses on halogen bonding mechanisms, electron diffraction techniques, and crystal engineering applications. Recently, he co-authored a 2024 conference paper in Acta Crystallographica and presented at scientific conferences in 2024. He leads an active project (2025–2028) on electron diffraction analysis of halogen bonding's electrostatic potential (ESP).
