Steven Wade Hunter

Steven Hunter is an Adjunct Professor at North Carolina State University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He holds a B.S. from Auburn University (1984), M.S. from North Carolina State University (1988), and Ph.D. from Duke University (1997), all in Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research focuses on networking, computer architecture, systems, distributed storage, high availability, and power-efficiency.

Hunter has extensive industry experience, including 35 years at IBM where he developed networking products and served as CTO of BladeCenter. He has received numerous accolades including being named an IBM Fellow and inducted into the NC State ECE Hall of Fame.
