Steven Stavropoulos

Steven Stavropoulos is a Lecturer at College for Creative Studies, affiliated with the School of User Experience Design. He holds a BA from the University of Michigan and an MFA from College for Creative Studies.

His research and professional work focuses on User Experience Design and Sound Design, particularly in the context of automotive environments. At Ford Motor Company, he leads the development of future auditory experiences for electric vehicles (EVs), merging technological innovation with sensory design.

Stavropoulos is also deeply embedded in Detroit’s underground music scene as a producer, performer, and curator of techno music. Since 2007, he has released international records, performed across North America, and contributed to film scoring, rave culture, and festivals like Movement Electronic Music Festival. His creative output bridges industrial sound design with digital media and interactive environments.
